We Can Do a Better Job of Love (Homily)

On Palm Sunday, we learn a lot about ourselves. For example, we hear about Judas who was sinning by acting purely out of self-interest. That caused him to betray Jesus - the one who loved him the most from before he was even born. This, sadly, is a commentary on our behavior, too. So, how do we stop ourselves from becoming the next Judas?
One path is to use the time during Great Lent, as well as Holy Week, to reflect, rescind, and reform our behavior such that we can eventually find wholeness in our brokenness. In other words, we can do a better job at loving ourselves, others, and God.
