Holy Spirit Mondays: Waiting, Praying, Witnessing

A short reflection to help you deepen your relationship with the Holy Spirit.
Read:
"[He] charged them ... to wait for the promise of the Father ... you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit" (Acts 1:4-5). "All these with one accord devoted themselves to prayer ..." (Acts 1:14). "[You] shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses ... to the end of the earth" (Acts 1:8).
Ponder:
What makes spiritual waiting so difficult for me?
Do I know the difference between holy waiting and mere inaction?
Do I seek God's help in growing in spiritual strength?
How is my personal prayer informed by communal prayer (e.g. Divine Liturgy, Mass)?
How might my family keep its longing for spiritual growth?
How might we witness to the wider community?
Pray:
"Most Holy Spirit, save me from myself and sanctify me."
