Wait Longingly and Grow Spiritually (Homily)

Mary profoundly and personally assisted in lighting the path of salvation for the world. On this eve of the feast of the birth of the Theotokos, we are reminded of how authentically faithful, intensely prayerful, and sincerely willing she was to offer her body, soul, and spirit to our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.

In doing so, she has taught us how to wait longingly, endure volitionally, and serve relentlessly during life's periods of suffering and spiritual growth.
