It is dark. I am blind. The enemy encompasses me. My enemies encamp against me. Why am I here? What do I do? Help me close my eyes. Help me shut my ears. I seek the illuminated darkness. You are all I need. You are all I want. Today. Tomorrow. Forever. Give me a glimmer. It is my safety. You are the Christ, The Son of the ever-living God. You are eternity. #JesusChrist #God #HolySpirit #luminousdarkness #Renewal #Healing #holiness

"Look! He is coming with the clouds; every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and on his account all the tribes of the earth will wail. So it is to be. Amen. ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega’, says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty" (Revelation 1:7-8). Meditate on who gave you life in this world. Meditate on who gives you life in the next. #BookofRevelation #SacredScripture #JesusChrist

Constantly in church. Bickering committees. Avoiding church. Pursuing hobbies. Where is the want to commune with God? Spiritual but not religious. Religious but not spiritual. False dichotomies. Excuses all. Where is the desperate desire for eternity with God? Whatever occupies your mind, It is transitory. God is everything. He is the beginning and the end. In the silence you will hear who is real. In the stillness you will learn what is worth doing. #silence #Stillness #luminousdarkness #Conversion #God #JesusChrist #HolySpirit #Renewal #Freedom

Thieves, one and all. Repentant? Unrepentant? I choose to fix my gaze. The cross is steady while the world is turning. Stat crux dum volvitur orbis. #Crucifixion #Cross #Sacrifice #Sacred #Repentance #obedience #ContemplativePrayer #Conversion

You. And only you. You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Lead me to you. Teach me to shun everything that is not of you. There is nothing without union. #JesusChrist #God #humility #MysticalTheology #luminousdarkness #ContemplativePrayer #MeditativePrayer

Where will they find you, O Lord? With their money? By their status? Through their opinions? In their power? The illusiveness of life. Found cheap. The price of a soul. Where do we find what's real? The interior place. A sacred space. This is the pearl of great price. #soul #Sacred #ContemplativePrayer #obedience #Sacrifice #continualprayer

When will they turn to you, O Lord? Sad. Angry. Frustrated. Alone. Our words don't matter. Our prayers do. Only because you make it so. When will we commit our lives to this contemplation? This greatest gift awaits us. This greatest sacrifice we avoid. #anger #sadness #sin #Loneliness #IntercessoryPrayer #prayer #ContemplativePrayer #Sacrifice

Why, O Lord, do they turn from you? Their eyes shut. Their ears closed. Their mouths clamoring. Teach us to be better examples. Command us to sacrifice. Lead us into union so we may be the bridge they walk over to get to you. #obedience #Faith #prayer #continualprayer #Conversion #Sacrifice #luminousdarkness

How, O Lord, do we draw closer to you? How do we teach others to grow in you? How do we fight their fear and anguish? Teach us to pray when others cannot. Command us to pray while others refuse. Lead us into prayer where others do not know how. Keep them, O God, by your grace. #prayer #continualprayer #secretmeditation #MeditativePrayer #meditation #IntercessoryPrayer #VocalPrayer #ContemplativePrayer #PrayerAgainstEvil

Do not separate yourself from God, but seek intimate union with the Most Holy Trinity. This is what Christ prayed for us. "I ask not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me" (John 17:20-21). #JesusChrist #Trinity #God #HolySpirit #IntercessoryPrayer #VocalPrayer #continualprayer #StJohntheTheologian #SacredScripture

Lay aside your earthly cares and receive what Christ came to give so willingly. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid" (John 14:27). #Peace #Hope #StJohntheTheologian #SacredScripture #secretmeditation #JesusChrist

Meditate on the Most Holy Trinity every day. Sleep, eat, and exercise well. Study Sacred Scripture and the writings of the spiritual fathers and mothers.
